Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays 2p-10p

Duties of Housekeeping / Laundry Aides:

• Clean mattresses and beds according to established procedures

• Collect laundry from residents’ areas and place it in designated locations

• Collect, sort, wash, and dry residents’ laundry

• Fold, stack, and distribute clean linens, personal laundry, and hospital gowns.

• Assist in keeping the laundry department neat, clean, and orderly

• Label clothing and personal resident items

Qualifications for Housekeeping / Laundry Aides:

• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings, and labels

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Adequate strength and endurance to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as loading and unloading washers and dryers; coordination necessary to fold clothing items and linen

• Color vision to ascertain stains and separate colored garments from white
