Responsibilities
You will serve as the on-site leader, taking ownership of the project's components. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Project Leadership: Take charge of an active project, ensuring all phases of construction are executed efficiently and in line with project goals.
- Team & Subcontractor Management: Supervise all on-site personnel and subcontractors. You'll maintain strong working relationships and ensure all teams are aligned with the project's timeline and quality standards.
- Schedule & Budget Control: Actively monitor the project schedule and budget, proactively identifying and mitigating any potential risks. You'll provide strategic direction to keep the project on track and within financial constraints.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for NASA officials and Senior Management. You'll provide regular updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure all parties are aligned.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce the highest standards of quality control and ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, including specific requirements for working on a secure NASA facility.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with significant experience managing large-scale civil works projects.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are highly valued.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams on active job sites, a strong command of project management software, and exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Security: Due to the nature of the work at a NASA facility, all candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
