Position Scope & Responsibilities
- Work on multiple projects, meet schedules and budgetary requirements.
- Perform complete bridge design of major and minor bridges.
- Perform Bridge Load Ratings.
- Must be able to manage and direct Jr. Engineers and CADD designers.
- Must have a working knowledge of AASHTO requirements and preferably those of FDOT.
- Effective communication with contractors regarding construction work.
- Engage in business development, project pursuits, and preparation of proposals.
Position Qualifications & Experience
- Strong technical skills and can show previous project application.
- Be able to utilize sound engineering judgment and produce accurate calculations.
- Minimum 10 years related experience.
- Experience performing structural design of reinforced concrete, structural steel and prestressed concrete bridges.
- Oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
- Project management skills that will include client contact and relationship development.
Education/Registration Requirement
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering w/ a structural emphasis.
- Professional Engineer License in Florida or be able to attain.
