Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and managing the sales team. This role includes planning sales strategies, monitoring market trends, and ensuring effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop annual sales and profit plans by analyzing market trends and results
- Set sales targets and forecasts for regions and products
- Create and implement a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expenses
- Monitor market conditions, customer demand, and competitor activities
- Adjust pricing based on cost, demand, and competition
- Achieve assigned sales targets and goals
- Set individual targets for sales team members
- Track sales performance and prepare reports
- Manage and monitor the performance of the sales team
- Coordinate with the marketing team for lead generation
- Provide ongoing training and development for the sales team
- Motivate and guide team members through coaching and product training
- Promote company products and services in the market
- Understand customer needs and align them with product offerings
- Support overall team objectives and complete assigned tasks
Authorization:
- Prepare sales proforma invoices and quotations
- Handle customer queries as per company standards
- Provide product-related documents as required
- Develop and manage agents or representatives in assigned regions
Work Coordination:
Internal: Sales Coordinator, Sales Engineer, Production, Service Team
External: Customers, Sales Team
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree
- Field of Study: Commerce, BBA, MBA, Polytechnic, International Trade, Chemical/Plastic Machinery
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong understanding of product and sales processes
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team management and leadership abilities
Must Haves:
- 2 years of outbound sales experience in manufacturing, industrial supply, etc.
- Knowledge of the plastics industry
- Territories are NE South SW and West (candidate can be located in either of these regions and should willing to travel as needed)
- role involves 60% times travel
