Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Pittsburgh, PA office, to manage accounts receivable portfolio, support collections, and help improve our internal processes. You’ll work directly with clients to collect past-due invoices, review aging reports, conduct credit assessments, and document communications.

What You’ll Do
- Collect past-due invoices via calls and emails, documenting all internal and external communications
- Review and manage Accounts Receivable aging reports
- Conduct credit assessments, set up clients, and provide summaries to management
- Assist with cash applications, dispute research, and resolution
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline collections workflows and reporting
- Participate in weekly meetings with management to discuss outstanding balances within the portfolio and collaborate on resolving issues
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize collections and reporting
- Collaborate with accounting and management teams on ad hoc projects
- Associate’s degree in accounting or related field (or relevant experience)
- 2 years of experience in credit and collections, or related accounting roles
- Strong communication, negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Deltek experience is a plus
- Willingness to work overtime if needed (compensated)
- Interest or experience in process improvement
