Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and licensed Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team of engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors.
Responsibilities
- Project types include but not limited to: Residential subdivision design, commercial site planning, multi-family developments, and design of concrete underground manholes and vaults.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to develop project schedules, manage timelines, and ensure seamless project execution.
- Review construction plans for adherence to building code compliance and construction regulations; oversee construction activities to verify quality control.
- Prepare stormwater management plans.
- Utilize project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in developing structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and other materials.
- Perform detailed structural analysis to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support design decisions and facilitate clear communication with clients and project teams.
Experience
- Proven experience in civil or structural engineering with a focus on land development and concrete structural design.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis software including Mathcad, CAD software (AutoCAD), Civil 3D, and GIS tools.
- Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regulations, and safety standards relevant to civil/structural engineering practices.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, project management techniques, and technical writing for detailed reports and documentation.
- Construction experience is highly valued; familiarity with site supervision and quality assurance processes enhances project delivery.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret complex technical data into clear insights for stakeholders.
