Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in 1996, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We have office locations in Missouri – St. Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois - Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky – Louisville and Prestonsburg.
We are looking for a Civil Engineer – Roadway Designer to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By designing municipal roadway and highway projects, you will be supporting our mission and developing a better tomorrow.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan production for municipal roadways, interstate highways, intersections, interchanges, ADA compliant sidewalks and multi-use facilities
- Provide roadway design elements including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, drainage design, pedestrian facility design, utilities conflict and relocations, as well as other roadway design tasks
- Work collaboratively with Project managers, and other Project Engineers to develop effective project solutions
- Display an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and roadway design
- Experienced in working with governmental clients in Kentucky, Missouri and/or Illinois
- Proficiency with CADD software; MicroStation/Open Roads Designer (ORD) is preferred; AutoCAD/Civil 3D also acceptable
- Experience with Highway/Roadway Design and Plan Production
- Good communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a four-year college or university
- EI/PE strongly encouraged
- 1 –8 years’ experience
This position may be based at any CDI location and requires up to 10% travel.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,000-$90,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
