The Membership Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in answering the main customer service phone line and processing of all new member applications, renewals, rejoins and charter actions. The applicant should be highly skilled and patient in problem-solving and can communicate in a clear and professional manner with customers and coworkers to resolve issues.
Salary: $24.50 (hourly)
What You’ll Do
- Answers telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Greets visitors and provides assistance when possible.
- Performs all processing actions associated with membership applications and renewals to include screening for eligibility, inputting data into the personnel data system and balancing dues submitted.
- Responds to routine inquiries when possible and verifies membership.
- Ensures that money received is accurate and accounted for.
- Maintains record of amount received and transfers to Financial Management Directorate for deposit.
- Processes credit card transactions.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree highly desired.
- Minimum two years’ previous customer service experience required.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Teams software.
- Ability to compose non-technical correspondence using a strong command of the English language and proper punctuation is required.
- Excellent attention to financial details and accuracy is required and must be able to use a 10-key calculator.
- A clear and pleasant speaking voice with critical thinking and problem-solving interpersonal skills is required.
- Strong communication skills and the patience to assist technologically diverse customer base.
