Key Responsibilities:
- Assess potential claims and defenses and develop tailored litigation strategies
- Manage case files, deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda
- Prepare briefs and submissions for state and federal courts
- Communicate with clients, providing updates and strategic guidance
- Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Collaborate with opposing counsel on discovery and settlement discussions
- Work alongside senior attorneys while progressively handling independent matters
- Coordinate with paralegals and support staff for efficient case management
- Stay informed on legal developments and contribute to firm initiatives
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of litigation experience (judicial clerkship considered)
- Active Virginia Bar license
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel within Northern Virginia jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Jury trial or courtroom experience
- Judicial clerkship background
- Experience with arbitration proceedings
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
