Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

CIVCO Engineering is a civil engineering and land surveying firm headquartered in the Uinta Basin, serving clients across the state of Utah. We're seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor to take a leading role in field and office survey operations on a wide variety of public and private projects statewide.
What you'll do- Lead boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys across Utah
- Review and stamp survey documents, plats, and legal descriptions
- Mentor survey technicians and field crews
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, municipalities, and state agencies
- Ensure compliance with Utah state surveying standards and statutes
- Active Utah PLS license (required)
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and data collectors
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software
- Strong knowledge of Utah land and water law
- Willingness to travel statewide for field assignments
- Experience with oil & gas, municipal, UDOT, or federal land projects
- Familiarity with BLM/GLO records and cadastral survey methods
- Background in Utah's rural and high-desert terrain
