POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Parking Facility Manager supports the day-to-day operations of assigned parking facilities and works closely with the Facility Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused parking operations. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a structured environment, following established procedures, and responding to operational needs as they arise.
The Assistant Parking Facility Manager does not have final decision-making authority over staffing, budgeting, or vendor contracts unless delegated by the Facility Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Facility Oversight
- Conduct daily inspections of parking facilities using standardized checklists to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness
- Identify safety concerns and operational deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to the Facility Manager
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, operational, and code requirements
- Monitor facility conditions and document issues through electronic work order and reporting systems
Access Control & Systems
- Achieve proficiency in the facility’s access control and parking management systems
- Monitor real-time system activity and reports to support operational decisions
- Assist monthly parkers and customers with access-related questions or issues
Staff, Vendor & Maintenance Coordination
- Assist with supervising on-site staff and coordinating daily work activities
- Supervise maintenance and vendor services as directed, including tracking service completion
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to maintenance and vendor activity
- Identify procurement and vendor service needs and communicate them to the Facility Manager
Customer & Office Support
- Provide front-office coverage including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in customers
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service to daily and monthly parkers
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including follow-up on past-due accounts, as assigned
Reporting, Audits & Inventory
- Perform audits and inspections as required
- Maintain inventory of office and facility supplies
- Adhere to reporting schedules and documentation requirements
Events, Projects & Coverage
- Assist with event parking operations as needed
- Support special projects and initiatives assigned by management
- Travel to other locations as needed to assist with parking operations
Schedule & Availability
- Maintain a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Be available for on-call response during after-hours emergencies and inclement weather events
INTRODUCTORY EMPLOYMENT PERIOD EXPECTATIONS (FIRST 90 DAYS)
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and schedule flexibility
- Learn and independently operate facility access control systems
- Accurately complete inspections, reports, and audits
- Communicate issues clearly and promptly to the Facility Manager
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Follow established procedures and accept coaching and feedback
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or operations management experience
- Experience in parking, facilities, hospitality, property management, or related fields preferred
- Valid driver’s license required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift repeatedly throughout a shift
