Overview
CityLine Medical is hiring a reliable EMT for recurring event medical standby coverage in Queens. This is a per diem position with a consistent Saturday assignment during the event season, with additional opportunities for event and construction standby shifts as they become available.
We are looking for someone professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a public-facing environment. The EMT will be responsible for providing basic first aid, assessing minor medical complaints, documenting incidents, and coordinating with local EMS when higher-level care or transport is needed.
This role is ideal for an EMT looking for steady weekend work and additional per diem opportunities with a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site EMT standby coverage for a recurring public event
- Assess and manage minor injuries and medical complaints
- Render basic first aid and EMT-level care within scope of practice
- Activate 911/coordinate with FDNY EMS when transport or higher-level care is needed
- Complete clear and professional incident documentation
- Maintain readiness of assigned medical equipment and supplies
- Communicate professionally with event staff, security, and attendees
- Arrive on time and remain dependable for scheduled coverage
Requirements
- Current New York State EMT certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from Queens
- Ability to work independently and remain professional in a busy event environment
- Must be punctual, dependable, and comfortable with recurring Saturday coverage
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous event standby experience
- Experience with incident documentation
- Additional certifications are a plus, but not required
