Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the right hand to the Executive Director—manage communications, research, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
  • Oversee office operations—purchasing, invoicing, staff and intern onboarding, and day-to-day administration.
  • Engage with the Board of Directors—coordinate meetings and materials
  • Lead PR and press outreach—craft newsletters and press releases, coordinate with media
  • Drive social media strategy—collaborate with interns to create compelling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
  • Plan unforgettable events—assist with our Annual Gala, exhibitions, and special events
  • Manage internship programs—recruit, supervise, and guide interns while tracking their contributions
  • Oversee benefit art auctions—track sales, packaging, and shipments
  • Light bookkeeping—track expenditures and assist with financial records
  • Maintain and update our CRM (Salesforce) and website (Squarespace)

 

Who You Are:

  • At least 1 year of experience in arts administration or a related field
  • Passionate about the arts and nonprofit work
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Tech-savvy—proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ideally familiar with Salesforce and Constant Contact
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing multiple projects with urgency and efficiency
  • A team player with an entrepreneurial spirit—ready to take initiative and help CITYarts grow


What We Offer:

Competitive salary: Starting at $45,000 (commensurate with experience)

Paid vacation: 2 weeks (10 working days, accrued)
