Key Responsibilities:
- Be the right hand to the Executive Director—manage communications, research, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
- Oversee office operations—purchasing, invoicing, staff and intern onboarding, and day-to-day administration.
- Engage with the Board of Directors—coordinate meetings and materials
- Lead PR and press outreach—craft newsletters and press releases, coordinate with media
- Drive social media strategy—collaborate with interns to create compelling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
- Plan unforgettable events—assist with our Annual Gala, exhibitions, and special events
- Manage internship programs—recruit, supervise, and guide interns while tracking their contributions
- Oversee benefit art auctions—track sales, packaging, and shipments
- Light bookkeeping—track expenditures and assist with financial records
- Maintain and update our CRM (Salesforce) and website (Squarespace)
Who You Are:
- At least 1 year of experience in arts administration or a related field
- Passionate about the arts and nonprofit work
- A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Tech-savvy—proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ideally familiar with Salesforce and Constant Contact
- Comfortable multitasking and managing multiple projects with urgency and efficiency
- A team player with an entrepreneurial spirit—ready to take initiative and help CITYarts grow
What We Offer:
Competitive salary: Starting at $45,000 (commensurate with experience)
Paid vacation: 2 weeks (10 working days, accrued)
