Psychotropic Nurse Qa Nurse
Well have experience in Long Term Care and with behavioral health residents. Nurse will run a weekly Psychotropic meeting multidepartment meeting. Nurse will be highly involved with the nursing and social service staff relating to a residents behavior. The nurse will be meeting with residents doing their assessments reviewing the medication and meeting with the Psychiatrist weekly to discuss new residents, behavioral residents and any residents that need to have GDR. This position works under the DON and reports to her.
Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations
LPN, associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, where the latter is preferred.
Pertinent state licensure.
Receipt of BLS training.
Familiarity with cultural perceptions about psychiatric difficulties.
Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities.
Superb interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution.
Gauging patients' psychiatric wellbeing
Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
Reviewing residents psychotropic medications.
Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
Restraining, consoling, and supporting the nursing and social departments highly unsettled patients.
Conducting targeted psychoeducation
