Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, geography, cartography, urban planning, civil engineering or related technical field.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
- Plans, directs and participates in the acquisition, installation, administration and operation of the City’s geographic information system (GIS) and permit system.
- Prepares GIS report for various projects and studies related to engineering, assessment of real property and/or municipal planning.
- Maintains water and sanitary sewer data layers and associated metadata from daily utility operational activities, capital improvement projects or field collection projects.
- Digitizes new subdivision maps and deed verification records.
- Responds to general GIS mapping inquiries from the general public, taxpayers, real estate professionals and developers.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.
