The City of Woodstock is pleased to be recruiting for a Full-Time Librarian I at the Woodstock Public Library. We are seeking an energetic individual, passionate about their work.
About the Position:
The City of Woodstock is seeking to fill a Full-Time Librarian I position with the Woodstock Public Library. This Librarian I (MLS) position is responsible to assist patrons in locating and using materials/information; provide information and collection development for assigned program area(s); and implement and/or maintain library resources and services. The work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Library Director.
Schedule:
The days and hours for this position are as follows:
- Monday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
- Tuesday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
- Wednesday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (alternating with Saturdays)
- Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (1st and 3rd Saturday of the month)
- Sunday: 1:00pm - 5:00pm (as part of a rotation)

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Library Science
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years library experience
- Proficiency in Spanish language skills
- Experience managing social media platforms
Please note that this position may also be filled at a lower paygrade (Library Specialist at $20.36 per hour) by a chosen candidate without an MLS degree, rather a bachelor's degree and on track to obtain an MLS.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting salary range for this exempt/salaried role is $56,950 to $64,650. An excellent benefits package is provided including, but not limited to, group health insurance and IMRF pension.
