Seasonal - EVGC Maintenance Worker

Assist in maintaining a municipal golf course, including but not limited to, mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough; grass trimming; seeding, sodding and planting trees and flowers; changing cups; and preparing course for daily play.

 

May perform any of these typical golf course maintenance tasks:

·         Trash and litter pick-up from the course.

·         Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough using powered equipment.

·         Grass trimming using string trimmers and rotary lawn mowers.

·         Raking bunkers with a powered rake.

·         Changing cups and preparing the course for daily play.

·         Landscaping with hand tools.

·         Laying sod, seeding, planting trees and planting flowers.

·         Assist in the watering of newly landscaped areas.

·         Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.

·         Other golf course maintenance activities as directed by the assistant
           superintendent.

·         Maintain and foster an environment, which facilitates the Exceeding Expectations
           (professional, responsive, leaders) philosophy of the City.

 

·         Possession of a valid driver's license.

·         Minimum age of 16.

The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in field and garage settings and moderately quiet in office settings.
