WWTP Operator II (2026-030)

Description

City of Woodburn is looking for a Wastewater Operator II to perform journey level, skilled and semi-skilled, work in theoperation and maintenance of the City's wastewater treatment plant, poplar tree facilities and reuse systems. The position isresponsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks, sample collection and process testing, gathering andinterpreting data, operate and assist in maintaining the City pump stations, conveyance systems, water reuse and bio-solidshandling equipment, perform grounds landscaping, building maintenance, and facility housekeeping duties.

High School degree or G.E.D with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related operation and maintenance of aWastewater Treatment facility or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employmentstandard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities and to be able to obtain the certification perDEQ.

• Ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards
• Valid Oregon class C driver's license
• Oregon DEQ Treatment Operator II certification
• Must pass the pre-employment background check
• Possess the following training/certifications or ability to obtain and maintain after employment: Forklift, first aid/CPR
