What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Seasonal Laborer position at CITY OF WOOD DALE?

The City of Wood Dale is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Laborers in the Public Works Department. These positions are responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, general maintenance of City property and public spaces, landscaping, lawn mowing, picking up branches from residents, planting trees and flowers, painting, manual tasks, and other responsibilities as directed by the Public Works supervisors.

Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions. Successful candidates will be scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the season, which typically begins in May/June.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License. Reliable transportation to and from work is required. Motivated individuals who are reliable and work well with others are encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

Starting Salary: $16/hour

This is a seasonal position limited to 1,000 hours.
