The Golf Course Beverage Cart Attendant reports to the chain of command of the Golf Course Operation Manager. Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the daily operations of the Chimneys Golf Course. Duties include but are not limited to the selling of food and beverage items on the golf course.
- Follows and promotes policy and procedures of the City of Winder.
- Informs and advises the Golf Course Operations Manager through the proper chain of command on all department issues affecting the City’s property; golf course hazards; or any safety or fire hazards.
- Provides efficient, helpful, and courteous service to all customers and guests in and around the golf course.
- Greets guests on the golf course and assists with any requests as needed.
- Performs general sales of food and beverage items including non-alcoholic beverages, beer, liquor, snacks, and more.
- Performs cash handling and accurate reporting for daily sales.
- Stocks and maintains an accurate inventory of product for daily sales and follows all inventory procedures.
- Follows cash handling procedures including the use of a house bank on a daily basis.
- Operates a basic point of sale system for accurate sales procedures.
- Performs general maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Performs marshal duties as needed by monitoring the pace of play while operating the beverage cart and reporting back to management with any issues.
- Performs fueling for the golf carts and small equipment as needed.
- Performs trash removal from the parking lot and golf course grounds.
- Maintains the appearance of the beverage cart, other golf carts, and storage areas.
- Maintains uniforms and other assigned equipment in a functional and presentable condition.
- Maintains safe working practices.
- Inspects and washes the beverage cart after each use, making sure it is ready for the next business day.
- Assists Pro Shop personnel in setup of tournaments, range operations, and other special events.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School diploma, equivalent or actively enrolled in school.
- Valid Driver's License.
- No felony convictions within the prior five (5) years or while employed in the position.
- A citizen of the United States or has obtained legal work status.
- Must pass a detailed background investigation including a pre-employment drug screening.
- Work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as required.
