Duties and Responsiblities
- Oversee daily operations of the aquatic facility
- Ensure safe and efficient pool operations during all operating hours
- Conduct daily facility walk-throughs and inspections
- Monitor deck activity and enforce pool policies and procedures
- Supervise Lifeguards and Instructors
- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback
- Maintain and enforce the Emergency Action Plans
- Ensure staff readiness for emergency response situations
- Conduct or assist with lifeguard in-service training sessions
- Oversee daily water chemistry testing and documentation
- Ensure proper chemical levels and regulatory compliance
- Address patron concerns and complaints professionally
- Support a positive guest experience
- Assist with special events, rentals, and programming
- Maintain incident reports and safety documentation
- Track staff certifications and training compliance
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older and have at least 2 years of lifeguarding experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possession of a valid and appropriate driver’s license and must possess Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR Professional Rescuer and AED certification through the American Red Cross or a nationally recognized equivalent. Certified Pool Operator or Aquatics Facility Operator certification preferred.
