Municipal Service Worker I - Landscape

The City of Williamsburg’s Landscape Division is currently seeking candidates for the Municipal Service Worker I position. This position is responsible for performing a variety of municipal maintenance activities involving manual labor with equipment operation in one or more public works/public utilities areas. Performs semi-skilled work requiring some training and experience.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or
• Six (6) months of experience performing heavy manual labor or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  

Special Qualifications

• A valid Virginia Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 18 months
• Must possess or obtain appropriate training licensing requirements as required, which may include:
• Confined Space Certification;
• Flagger Certification;
• Trench and Shoring Certification.
• CPR/First Aid
• PACP
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License
• Must submit to criminal record and other checks as may be required
