What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant position at City of Wildwood?
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Department under the supervision of the City Manager.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the City Manager such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing
- Schedules, maintains, and updates appointments and/or calendar(s) on a daily basis
- Maintains confidentiality when exposed to sensitive material and information
- Knowledge of the City's facilities, functions, and programs so appropriate information can be relayed accurately via phone, email, written correspondence, or in person
- Assists with the publication of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers and related communications relevant to a particular program or special event as needed
- Establishes a positive working relationship with all City departments
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the Executive Department such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing
- Works effectively with outside agencies and responds to requests as appropriate
- Works effectively with the City Commissioners; responds to their inquiries and requests as needed; offers administrative support as needed
- Assists the City Clerk, as needed, with the execution of documents and contracts approved by the City Commission
- High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferred
- Three-to-five (3-5) years of administrative experience in an office environment
