Brief Description
This is skilled work in the use of acetylene and electric arc welding equipment to provide assembly and repair for metal structures. Work involves responsibility for the skilled use of welding equipment for cutting, joining and brazing of a variety of metals and metal parts in repair, maintenance or fabrication tasks. Assignments are received in oral or written form and are occasionally accompanied by blueprints, drawings or specifications. Work is performed with considerable independence and under general supervision. Work is reviewed for time completion of work assignments and quality of work. Performs related work as required.

3 H Makes repairs by fitting and welding components, installing components, fabricating components, loading and unloading vendor materials, and completing repairs.
4 H Fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other welding material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.
