Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Rides on the back of the packer truck, picking up bags of solid waste in residential areas and loads or throws the bags into the packer truck.
- Unloads the packer truck at the sanitary landfill by operating hydraulic controls.
- Assists with maintenance of the packer truck including pre- and post-trip inspections, cleaning behind the packer blade and body of the truck, lubricating the rear tracks, and maintaining overall truck cleanliness on a daily basis.
- Assists the driver and other crew members in ensuring the safe operation of the packer truck.
- Maintains a courteous and professional image with co-workers and with our community.
