Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Waupaca, WI for a Director of Community and Economic Development. The Director will oversee economic development initiatives, manage planning projects, collaborate with community stakeholders, and lead public administration efforts to drive growth and enhance quality of life. Responsibilities include preparing and managing Plan Commission materials, implementing policies, and fostering partnerships to support the City's strategic goals for sustainable development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field, and three to five years of professional planning experience.
- Proficient knowledge in Planning and Development, including land use planning and zoning to guide community development efforts.
- Strong ability to design and implement growth strategies.
- Experience in Public Administration, including policy implementation, stakeholder engagement, and fostering cross-sector collaboration.
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to engage with diverse community members and build lasting partnerships.
- Familiarity with local governance and development policies in Wisconsin is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Position is full-time, exempt with starting annual salary dependent on qualifications, ranging between $75,000 and $100,000.
