POSITION SUMMARY
Employee performs unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of City streets and alleyways. Employee must possess good mechanical skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist in the maintenance and repair of city rights-of-way, streets and alleyways, storm sewers, maintenance of street signs and regulatory devices, paint and mark streets and curbs, provide snow removal and assist in the operations of the cemeteries.

Experience: No experience required, however, prefer at least one (1) year of similar experience and/or education.
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Employee must have valid Kansas Drivers License and the ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License preferably within one year of employment.
Working Environment: Employee works primarily 80% of the time outdoors year-round in all climate conditions; exposure to various types of weather including adverse conditions may be expected.
Physical Demands: Employee performs manual labor including digging, standing, bending, climbing, walking, lifting and carrying heavy loads on a daily basis.
Work Hours: Primary working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am–3:00pm. The employee may be asked to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holiday hours and subject to emergency call outs on short notice may occur.
