The Wabasha Port Authority is requesting qualifications from a proactive and collaborative leader to fill an Economic Development Professional Consultant. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative professional to build our thriving community through a variety of economic development projects. Resumes and cover letters due by December 16, 2025. The position will be 8-16 hours per week.
Role Description
The Wabasha Port Authority is the facilitator for local economic development activities in the city of Wabasha, working in collaboration with other non-profits and local businesses. Their activities are professionally supported by a economic development consultant. Hiring is approved for part-time, hybrid, or fully in person capacity. In general, 1-2 days per week or 8 -15 hours per week, allowing for a flexible schedule to collaborate with city staff, Chamber, Main Street, various webinars, and to be able to meet with owners by phone, email, and in-person. Independent contractors are encouraged to apply, as well as agencies with qualified staff.
