Position
Moonlight Stage Productions is a program of the City of Vista’s Recreation and Community Services Department -Cultural Arts Division. All those hired will become temporary, part-time employees of the City of Vista.
Examples of Essential Functions
- Directs vehicular traffic to designated parking areas to maintain smooth traffic flow both in and out of Moonlight’s Main and Overflow Parking Lots before, after, and during events.
- Assists guests by providing general Amphitheatre parking and event information.
- Provides customer service to Amphitheatre visitors.
- Sets up backstage parking lot with cones and barricades.
- Monitors who comes in and out of the backstage parking lot, only allowing cast, crew, staff, sponsors/donors, or special guests who are on the nightly list to enter.
- Greets all patrons, particularly sponsors/donors and special guests, in a professional and courteous manner.
- Oversees the taking of tickets.
- Gives nightly ticket count to box office manager.
- Directs patrons to the upper parking lot if not allowed backstage.
- Enforces and explains House Rules and Policies.
- Checks backstage passes, monitors backstage access list.
- Oversees traffic patterns and shuttle bus in the upper handicapped parking lot at the end of the night.
- Directs emergency vehicles to appropriate entrance in event of emergency.
- Assists patrons as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education – Must have graduated from, or be currently enrolled in, an educational institution working to obtain a high school diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
Experience – Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above and the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Other Information
Daily lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds without mechanical assistance.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays, dependent on season program needs. Must be available from June until October, as scheduled, with no vacation leave.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION
The City provides Workers' Compensation Insurance to all employees.
RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTION
Employee is required to contribute 7.5% of gross earnings to the MissionSquare Retirement Plan, which is offered in lieu of Social Security, OR Current CalPERS members will be required to contribute the full employee contribution of 8%.
