Market Aide
Salary: $18.1395

Status: Part-time, Non-exempt; Non-Union; Non-Civil Service
Job Summary
Market Aides assist the Market at the Square Director in event tasks, field questions from the public and participants, maintain knowledge of participant transactions and space assignments, assist with purchasing supplies, run errands, and sell merchandise. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, ability to help other staff with set-up and tear-down and tasks in between and possesses the ability to understand and support the overall mission of the Market at the Square.
Qualifications
Work occurs indoors in an office environment and outdoors. Market occurs in an outdoor venue. Work involves exposure to a variety of temperature and weather conditions, exposure to loud noises and traffic, and vehicle fumes.

Qualifications
- Satisfactory work history
- A valid driver's license
- A safe driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift at least 30-50 pounds safely
- Ability to work on Saturdays and be punctual
- Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Professional work ethic
- Strong cognitive ability and initiative
- Must be available the entire Market season (May-Nov.)
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
