What are the responsibilities and job description for the Keep Tyler Beautiful Technician position at City of Tyler?
Clean and/or paint graffitied areas reported through Tyler Against Graffiti program.
Monitor Tyler Against Graffiti and litter hotline.
Keep regular log and photo records of graffiti reported and abated.
Contact property owners to coordinate graffiti abatement.
Perform emergency littler cleanup services.
Misc. tasks related to Keep Tyler Beautiful programming and projects.
Maintain flower beds and garden space.
Perform grounds maintenance as needed.
Assist with Parks projects and special events.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to move, carry or deliver objects necessary to work areas.
Must be able to stand 1-hour per duration of task and walk up to 2-hours per duration of task.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs and climb a ladder up to 30 minutes daily.
Must be able to communicate with employees and management.
Must be able to work independently and self-manage.
Must be willing to learn and use software and technology associated with the position
Positively contribute to the culture of the department.
Must have excellent customer service skills and be self-motivated.
keeping duties (preferred). Must have a valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License with a clear driving record. Requires the occasional evening or weekend shift.
