The Program Development Specialist will work closely with the department’s leadership to accomplish the following:
- Serves as subject matter expert and functional lead for Enterprise Permitting & Licensing (EPL) application and other Community Development software applications, supporting troubleshooting, process improvements, and user needs.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and other internal partners to develop, maintain, and deliver accurate reports and data on Community Development activities, permitting, building, and program metrics.
- Helps to develop, maintain, and update departmental SOPs to promote consistent, efficient, and well-documented processes.
- Responds to requests for information regarding programs and requirements; Provides clear, accurate, and timely guidance to internal and external customers.
- Supports department management with special projects and fiscal processes.
Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, program or project management, public relations/affairs, or other field related to the assigned program(s); AND
- Two (2) years of experience in planning, development, implementation and/or administration of programs, projects, or systems, preferably in a government setting.
Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
Schedule: The position will have flexible schedule primarily 4/10 M-TH; (3 in office days and one remote workday). Schedule subject to agreement with supervisor.
