As a Maintenance Repair Worker, you'll help maintain a variety of UUPI facility complexes, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and comfortable for everyone who uses them. You'll work under the direct guidance of our Supervisor of Building Maintenance while performing a wide range of facility upkeep tasks.

As a Maintenance Repair Worker, you'll help maintain a variety of UUPI facility complexes, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and comfortable for everyone who uses them. You'll work under the direct guidance of our Supervisor of Building Maintenance while performing a wide range of facility upkeep tasks.
What You'll Do
- Promote a safe work environment by following safety rules, reporting concerns, completing required training, and supporting safety investigations.
- Inspect facilities to ensure proper operation and regulatory compliance, including completing Quarterly NPDES inspection tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain facility equipment and tools; support setup, technology needs, and perform routine cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Perform minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, fire, and security systems; assist vendors as needed and respond to issues related to temperature, lighting, access controls, janitorial needs, and other building systems.
Minimum Training & Experience
- Completed the eighth (8th) grade;
- Two (2) years of experience in performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks as a helper to a journeyman or as a handyman in at least one of the major trades
Necessary Special Requirements
- A valid Class E (or equivalent) State driver's license at the time of appointment
