CONSTRUCTION TRADES WORKER – PARKS
Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Affairs Department
This is skilled work in which employees perform maintenance, construction, and repair tasks in the Construction and Maintenance Division of the Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Affairs Department. Employees perform journey-level trades work and operate a variety of equipment associated with these trades.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform a variety of skilled tasks in multiple trades related to construction, maintenance, and repair of park facilities and structures.
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles used in the performance of assigned work.
- Serve as a member of a crew or lead worker on designated projects.
- Complete assignments received in oral and written form in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Follow safety practices and maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Supervision:
Reports to a Foreman II or higher-level supervisor. Work is reviewed through inspections, reports, and results obtained.

We’re seeking a dependable and skilled individual with experience in journey-level maintenance, construction, and repair work across multiple trades. Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and three years of experience that includes journey-level maintenance, construction, and repair work covering at least two of the major craft trades; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
At the time of appointment, must possess a valid State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any endorsement(s) appropriate for the equipment to be operated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.59 - $27.53 per hour
