What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENERAL SERVICES WORKER position at City of Surprise?
The City of Surprise Human Service & Community Vitality Department is looking for our next team member! The General Service Worker will support Community Center division activities, Community outreach and engagement, and the after-school program. The ideal candidate requires an outgoing personality and is someone who enjoys working in group settings.
This position is seasonal and will only be scheduled through April 30, 2026 at approximately 18 hours per week.
This position will be used in support of day-to-day operations of the Human Service & Community Vitality Department programming; including the Senior Center, Resource Center, Community Initiatives, and After School Program.
Summary
Provides a diverse range of routine general services support to a specified department/unit. May perform clerical services, general labor work and services and/or customer services, and/or other related duties in accordance with day-to-day requirements of the specified department.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona drivers license.
SELECTION PROCESS
