What are the responsibilities and job description for the CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR - LEAD position at City of Surprise?
Summary
Incumbents perform complex technical skilled work in the inspection of public works construction projects, utility work performed in the public right-of-way and oversees contract inspectors working small projects. Provides plan review, construction quality assurance through physical inspection of construction site, and project coordination, as well as site development inspections for compliance. Incumbents function as a technical advisor and lead to other Construction Inspectors.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in public works construction inspection, utility construction or related field engineering work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
