What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARK RANGER position at City of Surprise, AZ?
SUMMARY
Incumbents enforce regulations, reservations and ordinances; provides timely, professional, and courteous customer service assistance and information to park visitors, and promotes park and trail safety.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, or G.E.D. and two years directly related experience in regulatory, security, or, enforcement duties; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed on the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or be able to attain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Terminal Operator Certification (TOC), Level B, within six months of hire.
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
