What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT position at City of Surprise, AZ?
This position will be scheduled 28 hours per week.
The City of Surprise Senior Services Division is seeking a team member who is passionate about supporting the continued growth of the division. The Senior Services Food Service Assistant role requires an outgoing, customer-focused individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment. This position serves active older adults and adults with disabilities in both food service and group settings and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for the community.
SUMMARY
Incumbents provide direct care for clients and the general public in the area of assignment. Specific duties may include providing general customer service, referring clients to other programs and agencies, and collecting basic information from clients and the public. This position will be responsible for operation of the kitchen and dining hall at the Surprise Senior Center.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a Food Employee Certificate (formerly Food Handler's Card).
