The HR Business Partner will work closely with department leaders to understand workforce needs, provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and support organizational goals. Daily responsibilities include advising on employee relations matters, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and assisting with performance management processes. The role will help interpret and apply labor and employment laws, support training and development initiatives, and contribute to HR projects that improve employee experience. Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Policies, with experience applying them in a public or complex organizational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Employee Relations, including coaching leaders and team members through workplace issues and conflict resolution.
- Working knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, with the ability to interpret and communicate requirements to support compliant practices.
- Experience supporting Performance Management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement discussions.
- Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Experience in municipal, government, or public sector environments is beneficial but not required.
