The City of Stafford Recreation and Performing Arts Department is accepting applications for the following summer employment opportunity:

Title/Part Time: Civic Center Part Time Staff

Reports to: Director of Recreation & Performing Arts

Pay based on experience $19.45

The City of Stafford Civic Center Part Time Staff supports the daily operations of the Civic Center by assisting with event bookings, client services, and facility coordination. The city is now hiring part-time staff to help manage events, handle administrative duties, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the facility. Below is a list of the skills needed to be a member of the Civic Center Staff.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports marketing and promotional efforts for the Civic Center
• Coordinates event bookings and prepare all required documentation, including insurance and permit paperwork
• Administers the license agreement process in accordance with departmental procedures
• Responds to phone inquiries, schedules facility tours, and assists with daily operational activities
• Assists clients with event planning and ensures proper setup of rooms, equipment, and facilities
• Collects payments and issues receipts for all applicable fees
• Oversees contracted cleaning services and event security operations
• Attend staff meetings, training, and other required departmental functions
• Maintains availability for 24-hour on-call assignments as needed
• Prepares and types memos, correspondence, and other administrative documents
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Recreation
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical skills evaluation as required by the department
• Ability to prepare routine administrative documents and paperwork
• Knowledge of CPR and basic emergency medical procedures
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Ability to read and comprehend manuals, forms, and procedural documents
• Ability to accurately complete required paperwork in accordance with established procedures
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFATION

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have 5-year office experience
