The Springfield-Branson National Airport Board is seeking a dynamic and experienced operational leader to serve as its next Director of Aviation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills, along with extensive experience in aviation operations.
- Leads the long-term vision by successfully implementing the 20-year Master Plan for the airport.
- Leads personnel and resources to accomplish the airport’s mission to be the premier Midwest Airport through exceptional service and safety.
- Leads an aggressive and expanding commercial air service development program to serve the air transportation needs of the region.

About The Springfield-Branson National Airport
Experience, Education and Training
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with specialization in Airport Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline;
- At least five years experience in the supervision of airport operations and maintenance, including familiarity with building and lease management and major capital development projects;
- Experience with general and commercial aviation;
- A Master's degree in an appropriate field may be substituted for one year of work experience.
Licensing/Certification
- Accreditation by the American Association of Airport Executives is preferred;
- Must be able to obtain accreditation within two years of employment.
