What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Public Health Program Representative position at City of Springfield (MO)?
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a Contract Public Health Program Representative to work within the Chronic Disease Prevention - Community Wellness division.
- Collaborate with coalitions, community partners, and service providers to address mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, suicide, isolation) and substance use trends. Support and expand surveillance and data-driven initiatives to guide prevention and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with community partners to strengthen referral pathways and connect individuals to mental health and substance use services. Provide support through overdose response, post-overdose follow-up, and early intervention efforts, engaging high-risk clients to reduce crisis events, promote recovery, and improve overall behavioral health outcomes.
Experience, Education, and Training
- Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Public Administration, Social Services, Health Services, Behavioral Sciences or a related area;
- Two years of professional or technical experience in public health;
- A Master's Degree in a discipline indicated above may be substituted for one year of the required experience;
- Some assignments may require previous supervisory experience;
- Some assignments may require significant data management and analysis work experience;
- Experience needs to be commensurate with the current vacancy.

Salary : $43,722 - $75,130
