What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance II/Landscaping position at City of Springdale, AR?
The incumbent is responsible to perform ongoing maintenance of lawns and landscaped areas under the care of the Public Works Department.

- Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers; maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
- Perform lawn mowing, trimming and edging.
- Operate brush hog and specialty mowing equipment.
- Perform weeding and watering of landscape areas.
- Plant landscape areas as directed.
- Trim trees and shrubs.
- Act as crew leader for small landscape crew.
- Perform general maintenance duties as directed.
- Mosquito maintenance.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- 7 to 11 months of related experience and/or training.
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver's License.
- Master Gardener certification or equivalent training/experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of a work truck, tools, and various maintenance equipment.
- Ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects.
- Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff.
- Experience installing and maintaining landscape projects is preferred.
Salary : $35,356 - $53,034
