Job Description: Hurricane Helene Recovery Laborer
The City is seeking motivated individuals who have been unemployed for
at least four (4) weeks to assist with ongoing Hurricane Helene repair
and recovery efforts. These temporary, full-time positions are offered
in partnership with WorkSource Georgia CSRA.
Employees will perform a wide range of duties, with primary
responsibilities including debris removal, repair and replacement of
storm-damaged infrastructure, and general cleanup activities
throughout the community. Work will be performed both independently
and as part of a team, including collaboration with existing City
staff.
Pay:
- Entry-level positions start at $15/hour.
- Pay may increase based on skills and experience.
- Heavy equipment operators and crew leads may earn up to $20/hour.
Candidates must be able to follow instructions, work safely, and
perform physical tasks in outdoor environments. All other duties as
assigned.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
