What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Program Assistant - Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (Part-Time) position at City of Solon, OH?
The Solon Community Center will be accepting applications for a part-time Lead Program Assistant - Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR). This position provides support in planning and implementing AIR programs and events, while also performing administrative duties for the AIR Program Coordinator and the Parks and Recreation Department. This position involves daytime, evening, some weekend hours, and some holidays not more than 28 hours per week.
Primary tasks and responsibilities for this position include coordinating with the AIR Program Coordinator to plan and facilitate a wide range of community-based recreation and education programs, helping with the administration and clerical needs of the program services offered, aiding with the registration, data management and recordkeeping of program participants, and assisting with the planning, instruction and/or facilitation of recreation programs offered by the department.
Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in recreation or community services field. College courses in public relations, marketing, recreation management, or related field preferred. Applicants must also have knowledge of or training in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) used within the department. This position offers a starting rate of $21.2916/hour.
