Testing process
- Upon passing a written examination, candidates will be contacted through email to complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ).
- Candidates who complete PHQ's in an appropriate and timely manner will be invited for an oral interview with Background Detectives and placed on an eligibility list based on interview ranking.
- Top Candidates will undergo a thorough background investigation including a medical, psychological, polygraph, and drug/alcohol screening.
- A Physical Agility testing will include:
- One Mile Run (time limit 10 minutes).
- Solid Fence (time limit 13.5 seconds).
- Chain Link Fence (time limit 10 seconds).
- Body Drag (165 pounds) (time limit 14 seconds).
- 99 Yard Obstacle Course (time limit 25 seconds).
- Chief's Final Oral Interview.
