Revenue Specialist III work activities may involve the following tasks:
Receives and handles all cash and checks received by the City for deposit. Accepts, investigates and resolves customer complaints and inquires. Drafts, proposes, and implements operating procedures. Assists in documenting requirements for automating procedures. Trains other employees in manual and automated systems. Prepares journal entries. Performs required research. Consults and coordinates with other departments, state, federal, and private agencies. Maintains subsidiary ledgers. Analyzes workflow and recommends changes as appropriate. May perform or assist other employees in performing tasks. Maintains harmony among co-workers. Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications at time of Hire or Promotion to this Class:
- Demonstrate ability to perform assigned tasks and maintain harmonious relationship among assigned employees and the public.
- Good vocabulary and verbal expression.
- Combination of (12) twelve semester hours of accounting, internal audit, data processing, business or municipal administration or at least three years of experience in municipal or utility collections, plus two years of cash handling experience.
- Bond-able.
