- The Human Resources Technician will report to the Director of Personnel/Human Resources or assigned staff. Serves internal and eternal customer with quality service.
- Inputs data for monthly, weekly and semi-monthly Personnel Action Form(s).
- Files, maintains, and creates all City employee records.
- Generate various monthly reports in EXCEL and Lotus 123.
- Runs monthly reports from human resources information system.
- Maintains office supplies and storage area.
- Record board meetings and serve as a support office staff.
- Tracks and collects roster revisions.
- Assists with updating weekly job listing.
- Serves as reception for the department.
- Assist customers with employee applicant tracking system.
- Maintains office staff’s leave reports and files.
- Responsibilities include: collecting, inputting and maintaining extensive human resources data.
- Coordinates employee elections.
- Coordinates with city departments to ascertain positions availability.
- Reviews documents to determine budgeted positions.
- Verify employment as requested.
- Performs research as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates of arts Degree, Human Resources, Business Management, from an accredited college or university, or related field or equivalent years experience.
- Two (2) or more years experience in Human Resources Administration.
- Considerable knowledge and experience with creating Microsoft Word documents and spreadsheets.
- Ability to review and interpret data.
- Tasks are performed in a sedentary position at workstation with occasional walking required.
- Requires extensive use of computer, printer and other office and telecommunications equipment.
- The employee must exert light physical effort, occasionally involving lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects and materials (mostly file boxes) of up to thirty-five pounds.
- Requires visual perception and ability to communicate orally.
- Job must be performed with or without accommodations.
- Tasks are regularly performed in an office environment where the noise level is moderately quiet.
