What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Attendant position at City of Shoreview?
Engage children in activities
Ensure children are supervised at all times
Be familiar with and follow all safety and emergency procedures
Communicate with parents
Accurately record data on daily log
Clean and sanitize child care toys
Other duties as assigned
- Experience working with pre-schoolers is preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Kids Care is open:
Monday – Saturday: 8 am – 12:30 pm
Monday – Thursday: 4 pm - 8 pm
Friday: 4 pm – 7 pm

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 30 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, walking, speaking or hearing, and using hands for repetitive motions, and frequently requires bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting or carrying children; work has standard vision requirements.
Vocal communication and hearing are required to supervise children, engage in activities, and communicate with parents in an active environment.
Work involves continuous supervision of children, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of toys and materials, and completing daily records; work is performed in a childcare setting with moderate to high noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Salary : $13 - $16
