Certified Patrol Officer

BENEFITS:

• Base pay for certified Police Officer $19.64 - $20.73 (based on experience)
• Shift differential pay $2.00 more per hour for night shift
• Sign-on bonus:
• Retirement – with only a 2% contribution required, fully vested after 5 yrs
• Insurance – City pays 85% of employee and 60% of family coverage
• POAB – City pays 100%
• Deferred Comp. (401\457) – after 1 year City matches up to 3%
• Vacation buyback at end of year up to 1 week (43hrs)
• 14 Holidays (additional Holiday pay for every holiday)
• Uniforms – (Mandate and Patrol) Provided
• Taser, OC, Asp, Newer Glock 22 (Gen 4)
• In car camera, body cam MDT, Radar ECT
• Take home car provided (within 30 mile radius of City or unless approved by Chief)

Hiring Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess GA Driver’s License (or be able to obtain one)
• Pass:

  • Criminal History
